Around one million people in the UK live with heart failure, and new diagnoses are expected to double by 2040. Although HFpEF and HFrEF share similar cardiovascular risks and outcomes, HFpEF remains underserved, and dedicated HFpEF services across the UK are limited.
With 1 in 5 patients with HFpEF are rehospitalised within 30 days of discharge, the need for improved management is urgent. People with HFpEF deserve equal focus.
